I haven't tried QImage as an external program from within Photoline as I use a separate computer for printing. So with external programs and plugins the possibilities are endless. (I use it to send an image to PSP and Krita etc). But for me the key is Photoline's ability to allow the user to open other external programs. It's like asking a trades man to carry just one tool. I've always believed that relying on one program is dangerous and very limiting. I've never used the editing features within QImage but they look very capable. I still use it for any 'serious' printing.
I've used QImage for years and every time I had an issue Mike was quick to help. Mike supported his product as well as his clients. I believe Mike was a one person shop back in those days, and keeping up with day to day maintenance and development, consumed his time. Mike Chaney endeavored for many years, to port his code to a Mac operating system. I used Qimage for years, until I switched from PC to Mac platforms. If you want a good, nah very good, program for printing and resizing then have a look at QImage.Īgree.
